Hi,
it's been quite sometime since i posted on here. i'm not sure if anyone reads this anymore. to be honest, i had almost forgotten about it.

anyway, as you have read below i'm putting lyndsay diaries on hold for a while so i can get my new band "umbrellas" going.
the record is finally done and will be coming out middle of april. we plan to start touring in march. thanks for all of your support

i'm writing you for a few reasons: and here they are.

1. we aren't making the show today in mcallen,tx. i feel horrible about this. we started the 12 hr drive last night and then today spill canvas blew out a tire,bent the rim, didn't have spare, got towed, ordered part from salvage yard,we waited and waited and then it was too late to drive the 9 hrs to make the show. i'm so sorry. don't hate us. we will be making it to dallas tomorrow to finish the rest of the dates.

4. if you can't or didn't make it to a show on this tour to pick up the new ep, you can pick it up at www.themilitiagroup.com.

2. roughly ten more shows on this tour and then i probably won't be doing any lyndsay diaries shows for quite sometime. maybe a few scattered ones here and there, but that will be it.

3. the umbrellas is recorded and finished. unfortuneatly the players on the record can not do the band full time. i'm looking for some committed full time members to tour starting in march next year. if you play bass,piano, or drums and are serious about being in the band, send me an email telling me about yourself. ie the instrument you play, your age, a sample of your skill, and anything else you want to say. the band will be located in southern california. send this to swindsortld@hotmail.com

well the tour with long since forgotten has come to a close. those guys were the greatest. i wish i could say the same about the shows.(some of them were pretty rough) oh well. you win some and you lose some. two shows coming up

a little update,
we were supposed to play denver tonight....didn't happen. there was another show already booked over us. i don't know what happened. this is the second time in a row that i have showed up to a show in denver and it wasn't happening. sadness. so we are sitting in an overpriced hotel room right now wishing that we had played tonight. i'm so sorry if you went to the show tonight wanting to see the show. please come to the remaining shows. pick up the new ep and give eugene(bass player) a big kiss.

the new ep is being pressed as we speak. it will be limited to 2500 copies and they will be hand numbered. the ep is called "midwestern" and will only be available on tour starting july 24 and also online at themilitiagroup.com. the cd release show will be 7/24 in anaheim,ca @chain reaction with copeland and emery.(www.allages.com) this show will most likely sell out so i would buy your tickets ahead of time.

the tour is going really well. i wanted to apologize to anyone who came out to the show the other night in port jervis,ny. the show was cancelled last minute and it was a big mess. we had no control over the situation. anyway, i'm really sorry if you went to the venue expecting to see the show.
